A Stunning rendering by Frederick Catherwood

This was obviously a camera lucida drawing - but it shows the detail of the masks so much better than any photo you could take in contemporary times. This is so first for the simple reason that it's been 160 years since Catherwood captured this image, and wind and weather and archelogists have all taken their toll on the place - and second because the eye of the artist is more capable of discriminating what has sense than does a camera.
